Title: A Little Princess

Author: Frances Hodgson Burnett

Characters: Sara, Becky, Miss Minchin, Ermengarde, Lottie, Captain Crew, Mr. Carrisford, The Carmichael Family, Anne,, Lavinia, Jessie,  Miss Amelia

Setting: Miss Minchin's Select Seminary for girls, Attic, Bakery, Mr. Carrisford's house.

Beginning: Sara is sent to  Miss Minchin's Select Seminary for girls, because her father has to go to India.
She makes friends with Ermengarde, Lottie, and Becky, and tells them stories. She also pretends to be a princess.

Middle: Sara's father Captain Crewe Gave all of his money for his friends diamond mines, but he got sick and died. Since Sara is not a rich heiress Miss Minchin makes her sleep in the attic, and she has to run errands and sometimes gets nothing to eat.

End: A man named Mr. Carrisford  Captain Crewe's friend found out his friend died and decides to look for Captain Crewe's daughter to take care of her. Mr. Carrisford feels sad for Sara and leave nice food and things in her room. While Sara gives Mr. Carrisford his monkey, who went in her room, she tells him and Mr. Carmichael her story about what happened to her father. Mr. Carrisford takes care of her. Sara visits Anne, a beggar in the past who she gave 5 buns to, who is now the bakers helper.
